There is pet boarding available at both the Grand Canyon Railway in Williams and at the South Rim. Since pets are not allowed in the hotel rooms at either location, these fully-staffed kennels are a great option for those who prefer to travel with their pets.

If you search ‘ariztravel’ on Facebook, the result you’re looking for says “Arizona Travel” and has the same profile picture as the beautiful shot of Sedona that we use here on our blog.

Another way to find our page is to simply click on that “Become a Fan” button over there on the right side of our blog…right over there ——->

That was the one I was talking about. We are going in an RV, staying at their park then taking the train and an overnight at the canyon. I wondered if there was more information about the Pet Resort, i.e., if anyone had used it, had any comments, is there someone there overnight as I have to leave him overnight, etc. Thanks for your very quick response, I appreciate it.

Joan, Canyon Pet Resort is indeed a great choice, but did you know that the Grand Canyon Railway also has a pet resort? Here is a link to their webpage: http://www.thetrain.com/pet-resort-6037.html. Because the Grand Canyon Railway and the hotels within Grand Canyon National Park (south rim) are both managed by Xanterra Hotels and Resorts, you may want to consider booking your pet resort stay, train tickets and overnight stay with them as a package; generally, you’ll see a savings as well as one-stop-shop convenience.

We are planning to take the train and stay overnight at the canyon. I am assuming dogs are not allowed on the train and was planning to leave him at the Canyon Pet Resort. Do you know anything about this place. Since i have to leave him overnight I would like a little more info. Thank you.
