Hi, Cori. Of course! There are many places along the South Rim to park and walk up with your dog on a leash, look over the edge and take photos. Dogs are welcome at the South Rim as long as they are on a leash or in a carrier, and remain outdoors and up on the Rim. Dogs are not allowed below the Rim on the trails, but it doesn’t sound like that is part of your plan, anyway. So carry on! Have fun with your two and four-legged little ones!

Just want to ask… My grandson and I are passing through Williams
and thought a short trip up to the south rim visitors center would be nice (we have a hotel room in Williams). We a a chihuahua with us and just want to be able to drive to the edge and look around, no tours..etc. Is there a spot to do that?
We need to look and continue our trip since we are on a time schudule this time and do no want to leave the dog in a car or a kennel… Can you help us?

According to the Hualapai website, “Pets are not permitted on tours or allowed to be left in parked cars. Pet accommodations are available at the Hualapai Ranch (fee applies). Service animals are permitted on tours.”

ARE PETS ALLOWED ON THE HOP ON TRANSPORTATION ? ARE THEY ALLOWED ANYWHERE NEAR THE SKYWALK ? WE WERE GOING TO COME THIS WEEKEND, BUT NOW IT LOOKS LIKE NOT.

There is pet boarding available at both the Grand Canyon Railway in Williams and at the South Rim. Since pets are not allowed in the hotel rooms at either location, these fully-staffed kennels are a great option for those who prefer to travel with their pets.
